Christmas Eve Blog by Christopher Folino
Traffic on the web continues to pour and I'm kind of laughing because people our clicking on Gordon's line "I live with my parents, it's a temporary situation, temporary, just til they die." to find us.
That is a line straight from the movie and welcome to "Gamers" the movie blog.
"Gamers" will be coming out in 2006, all this advertisement is hype, we want you to know that Beverly D'Angelo, Kelly LeBrock, William Katt, John Heard, Michael Bell and Richard are in this film.
Furthermore, we got an amazing young cast of actors! Kevin Kirkpatrick, Dave Hanson, Scott Allen Rinker, Joe Nieves, Kevin Sherwood and the list goes on and on! Go click on the media clips and watch all five, read the interviews, read the blogs and remember this movie in 2006.
It's not a studio produced film, yet it has real SAG actors and was shot on 35MM.
And it's made with credit cards and we all have frickin day jobs!
So,If your a distributor you're going to have to wait until February as we world premiere at a film festival. We want to make sure this movie get an opportunity to reach the masses!
So thanks for clicking on the site, check in every day to read a new blog or every week for update material.
We have more information on IMDB.

Welcome to "Gamers" the movie blog by Christopher Folino
Look at how our marketing budget just brings the folks to this web site!
Yes, thank God for a flaw in Google today, we'll just enjoy the traffic!
For all of you who clicked on the advertisement that read "The "Howard Stern of blogs", well fucking hello to all you mother fuckers! We are on a curse-a-fucking-lot blog site here!
And to make you feel like your reading a Howard Stern blog, I got a stripper named "Candy Bush" who is taking her clothes off while I write this blog! "Wow, are those real Candy?" "What's that?" " Your brother bought those for you for Christmas!" "How much money to get you make out with your brother Candy?"
Okay, So welcome to "Gamers" the web site for the film that features real movie stars in it like Beverly D'Angelo, Kelly LeBrock, William Katt, John Heard, the voice of Michael Bell and Richard Blade!
And featuring the stars of the future Kevin Kirkpatrick, Scott Allen Rinker, Kevin Sherwood, Joe Nieves, Dave Hanson, Ben Messmer, Niko Posey, and Meredith Zealy.
This movie was shot on 35MM and had all SAG actors and a real "Hollywood" crew.
Go watch some media clips and read some interviews, it's funny stuff.
We drew you to the web site for hype. The movie will be out early in 2006, we are adding a few
new scenes and it will be done in January.
And the best bet is that it will start to play in the festival circuit in February and by March we will sell it to the distributor who "gets this movie" and can help us "get it to the masses."
You don't have to be a "Gamer" to relate to this film. It's about people with "shit jobs" and the extremes of what they do to get away from their real lives!
Some people gamble on "Football!” which I'm all for!
Some people go on the internet and create a fictitious female Elf named "Fricka" and play "World of Warcraft" with a voice box and try to pick up men. That's really sad, and we wish Dave Hanson would stop that!
If you love "Family Guy", "Clerks" or "Spinal Tap" then this movie will make you happy.
If you love movies like "The Notebook" or "The Titanic" then kick yourself in the nuts, and go enjoy a real hard "R" rated movie.
This movie was made on credit cards, and gambling of church funds for pagan babies!
Okay, I'm lying; no pagan babies were robbed in the making of this movie!
So go pass this site onto a friend, we got no marketing budget to compete even with that new shit Steve Martin film "Cheaper by the Dozen II"
Serious, what fucking movie do you want to see made in Hollywood?
Peace out.

Casting Stories Part 1 by Christopher Folino
When we hired Michelle Metzner, “the goddess of casting agents,” the day she ran the film add for “Gamers” that would reach all the agents, we got two hits! And both of these hits were famous stars.
The very first star that sent back a response to audition for our movie was Sandra Bernhard and it was for the role of “Angela’s mom.”
I remember when Michelle called me, it was a super cool thing. Nothing beat telling friends and family, “Yeah, I’m going to make a little movie, and Sandra Bernhard has expressed interest to be in it!”
Oh, I milked that shit for like months! It wasn’t until we got our asses rejected by Sundance that I’ve kept my mouth shut.
Sandra was a huge name and we were listed as an ultra low indie budget film and her agent still responded. We were blown away, because, at that point we hadn’t the budget or ambition to go after Beverly, Kelly, John, or William.
I talked it over with Jennifer, Kevin, Fernando and Michelle and we were like we should just offer her the part of Gordon’s mom, it’s a bigger part and I even started writing another scene or two to make the part bigger.
I think it was from there that we kind of got the confidence to start going after the big names. It took forever, and seventeen years for Sandra’s agent to finally say “No”, I think Sandra ended up on some Broadway Show during the time our filming.
Which was cool with me, I’m a huge fan of Beverly D’Angelo and when we heard she’s a good friend of John Heard’s and would do the film, it changed everything.
The other actress who responded back was Joanne Severance, who I loved in “Wiseguy” the TV series where she was the sister of Kevin Spacey.
She was also in “See No Evil, Hear No Evil” with the late great Richard Pryor.
We kicked around the idea of her playing “Angela’s mom” for a moment, however, when we got news we could go after Kelly LeBrock, it was pretty much a no-brainer.
At one point I really wanted to team William Katt and Connie Sellecca back together. We sent Connie the script, however, she found God and she turned down our script unless we re-wrote almost everything.
I still think casting the gang of “The Greatest American” Hero is a solid idea and would love to attempt that. However, I wouldn’t be able to have the word “Fuck” or “Fuck stick” in it. I’m not sure I’m capable of writing a script without using those words.
Perhaps, it was all the cursing that the film festival directors in Berlin found alarming and the reason why we got rejected? No, it couldn’t be! It’s more the fact that these “fuck-sticks” took my $125 entry fee money and still decided to allow two main stream Hollywood studio films that are already in theaters now, to be in their “indie” film festival. Yes “The Syrian” and “The New World” really need help with distribution and we really needed to discover those films. It’s fucking bullshit, that’s what it is. I’m fine with our movie not being selected, however, that’s two indie films that got “fucked” out of the Berlin Film Festival so they could get more stars to come to Germany.
I guess every town and every city wants to be Hollywood.

IMDB Rating System By Christopher Folino
“Gamers” IMDB rating fell a little bit this week and it now stands at 7,970.
We are kicking “Weekend at Bernie’s 2” ass with a lowly ranking of 8,124.
However, sadly “Mannequin: On the Movie 2” is ranked lower than us at 7,593.
And God please explain to me how “Pump up the Volume” with Christian Slater is ranked number 98 on IMDB this week?
I think I’d be more upset if I was an actor and had to compete with John Holmes STARmeter at 2,755 and then realizing what will it take to be number one on IMDB?
Study and hone my craft for years? Oh, no, all it takes to be number one on the IMDB STARmeter is attempted murder of a cop, Lillo Brancato, who hovered around 5,200 until he found himself in a shoot-out with an off-duty police officer, now Lillo is number one!
Do you think Lillo’s talent agent is praying for the trial to be moved to California, home of the most amount of jury "star fuckers" in the world!
I got to think while in prison for the rest of his life, Lilo would always get picked as the lead actor in any prison plays! That IMDB STARmeter would trump everyone right?
I thought it would be fun to look up some famous stars who did some jail time and see if they could give Lilo a run for his money.
OJ Simpson who hasn’t done any acting…well on a movie screen since 1994 is ranked 3,013
Michael Jackson is 1,101 on the old ranking system
Robert Blake is currently ranked at 3,239 and in April 2002, when he was arrested for killing his wife, he rose to number 2 on the STARmeter
Biggie Smalls is ranked 4,847 and he’s been dead since 1997
Tupac Shakur is ranked at 745 and the guy who has been died since 1996 has a screenplay in production called “Live 2 Tell”
Gary Glitter is ranked 18,459 and was living large with a ranking of 2,411 in late November.
I spoke with William Katt and Beverly D’Angelo today and they both said the Indie Filmmakers Ipod cast went well. I think it will be available late January for downloading.
Once we find out, we will post links to the site.
We are still working on getting Kelly LeBrock and John Heard to do the show.
I pushed for all the other actors, however, they didn’t want them yet.
That’s right Scot, Dave, Kevin K., Kevin, and Joe you “bitches” need to climb a little higher on the STARmeter at IMDB! Why don’t you guys go do something horrible against society so you can climb up the IMDB love ladder of stars?
Quick observations before I end today’s blog
After years of listing to their god-awful radio spots, I finally saw a TV spot for The Robinson Brothers. Who the hell told them they should show their faces on TV?
Ugly people aren’t allowed to sale jewelry, that’s a job better fitted for someone like Jennifer Love Hewitt, a job that requires no acting skills, just to stand there and look “good”. By the way she’s ranked a 138 on the IMDB STARmeter!

Monday Night Blog by Christopher Folino
Welcome to the “Monday Night blog” it’s been a rather interesting two days since I last graced these pages with such indie filmmaking insight like “how we won enough money gambling on football to pay for all our film entry fees.”
That’s right, welcome to the world of ultra low filmmaking and I have to again thank the entire New England Patriots football team for wining the ”Gamers festival entry” bowl this year. Screw the “Super Bowl” boys! You’ve done enough this season, so go rest my friends, and rest well.
Last night, I did a telephone interview with Michael and Barry from www.intheq.com.au who do a pod cast show for indie filmmakers, mostly famous ones who are respected!
And somehow I got on!
How did it go you ask? Well, all I can say is that I have “potty” mouth. And if you’re looking for intelligent and inspiring indie filmmaking conversation, then I have failed miserably.
Not since the time I was eighteen and giving the “best man” speech at my brother Michael’s wedding have I failed so badly. At Michael’s wedding, I turned to his lovely bride and actually told her “Vivian, I hope you find as many uses for him, than I have!”
My entire interview was that brilliant and insightful! Oh, the choke!
I seriously spent ten minutes talking about the “Wiggles,” I figured everyone from Australia must work for them. And I swear to God, I brought up the “Star Wars Holiday Special”, and then made way too many “Brokeback Mountain” jokes. And then I brought up the Rosie O’Donnell Documentary and man, I had no idea she was that loved in Australia. My little “Rosie” joke went over as well as “New Coke” in American or better when Vanilla Ice tried saying on MTV “No, no, my song is different than Bowie and Queen’s “Under Pressure”, and then he proceeded to sing the same exact notes.
If I could do a Quantum Leap and go back in time, I’d get a hammer and smash my phone and then hit myself in the “nuts” with a baseball bat.
Beverly D’Angelo and William Katt are going to be interviewed tonight, so I pray they redeem me! Come “Greatest American Hero” and “Vacation Mom!” save my sad pathetic directors ass. Be “excellent” and show the people why you’re rated 741 on the IMDB STARmeter Miss Beverly D’Angelo! And you Mr. William “ranked 3,801” Katt, go do me justice!
I’m sorry, I’m ranked 91,152 on the STARmeter, and I choked! Hell! That’s not a ranking! I’m going to go look up John Holmes and see where that dead porn star guy is ranked on IMDB!
(1 minute later)
Shit, the dead porn star is ranked 2,755! My God, is that because they’re counting “little Holmes” too?
More to come tomorrow morning thank you for reading the blog.
