Beef Jerky anyone? by Chris Folino
Welcome to the blog, and welcome to the "Gamers" the site.
Our movie is shot on 35MM has just been completed and it's an indie film with appearances by Kelly LeBrock, William Katt, John Heard, Beverly D'Angelo and features the voice works of Richard Blade and Michael Bell. And I'd be a monkey's ass if I didn't brag about the chosen five, Kevin Kirkpatrick, Kevin Sherwood, Scott Allen Rinker, Dave Hanson and Joe Nieves. It also features many other talented folks.
We will announce shortly the festival which will feature the world premiere of “Gamers" the movie.
At that point we welcome all distributors to come on out and watch the film. And to all eight of the distribution companies that we have kept waiting, well, it will be just a little longer.
Go check out all the clips and enjoy the latest clips featuring Dave Hanson and beef jerky.
This will be the last clip released. The only other media to be released will be a longer film trailer.
And the nice thing about all the clips which are very funny is that the rest of the movie will live up to the hype.
If not you can kick me in nuts.
Thanks,
Chris Folino

Media Friday by Chris Folino
Lots of new stuff up today regarding "Gamers!"
We have two new interviews with Chris Hollyfield and Yvonne Arias! Both very talented thespians who recently were in the hot seat to answer "Ten" questions. Very entertaining stuff!
A shout-out to Chris Hollyfied and when we aren't so broke, we will try and get together some where to show you the movie!
And Yvonne Arias! How is that Aquanet hairspray treating you dear? I don't know who’s worse for the environment? You or George W. Bush!
And speaking of somebody from Texas, but who doesn't suck! How cool is Chuck? Well, Mr. Grogtard is cooler than cool!
Really! Who the hell needs "Ain't it Cool News" when you got Chuck in Austin given us so many props! Serious, if I had met him prior to the twin boys being born, I would have named both the twin boys Chuck and Chuckier! OR Chuckstewie! (Again, one of my twin boys, looks like Stewie from the "Family Guy".
It's rather cool!
Thanks to Chuck, not only can you sign up on a map to show your love for Gamers! However, he started another place for fans to discuss the film!
the Frappr Map for Gamers Fans http://www.frappr.com/gamersthemoviefans
In one day the numbers have quadrupled regarding people who have signed up!
Yet another place for fans to discuss the movie. http://www.livejournal.com/community/gamersthemovie/
I'm looking forward to starting a fake name like Doug Fulton and just post cool things about the film!
In Ringtone news! I got to hear "Wake up Dick, God made a brand new day" as a ringtone and it's rather awesome!
Kevin actually cut two versions of the song, one with an orchestra in the background and some clapping.
In festival news today, I got an email from the Berlin Film Festival and guess what they said?
"With reference to the payment of the entry fee for a.m. film we've received an invalid credit card number. Please kindly inform us about a correct number incl. verification number and expiration date so that we can proceed your application. Please note that we will not screen your film until a correct payment is made."
Oh yeah! Giving out invalid credit card numbers! This is going to impress those German programmers!
What a way to get them to notice us! By the way, if you are a filmmaker and want to know which festival is the most expensive to enter, it's Berlin! We paid $125.00 to enter!
That rejection email better be a fucking hologram of famous model, Claudia Schiffer naked.
Perhaps today is a day to release a clip?
What do you think?

New interviews, ringtone and media by Chris Folino
Hello blog reader, that's right we are down to one reader.
So what's new? A lot, surprisingly a great deal!
We will be posting two new interviews this week and "Gamers" will bring you the ultimate song for your cell phone! That's right within a week or so, you'll be able to purchase the Kevin Sherwood classic for your cell phone for like 99 cents. And all the money will go directly to Kevin to pay for his meth lab.
Also, we will be adding some links to companies and people that have been very supportive of the film.
And lastly we will be posting new media soon.
I may have to break down and edit a real trailer.
If we do that I'm sure we will whore it out to someone as an exclusive.
And lastly, we will be starting to send the movie out to various people to review.
The main thing is to get this bad boy distribution for theaters where it can reach "cult-like-status!"
So, that's that.

Game not over by Chris Folino
Yesterday, the realization set in, we canceled the reservations for the hotel rooms in Park City, Utah. We had booked ten rooms at the Best Western Hotel and we also canceled some deals with various local businesses to help promote the movie.
I had to give Manuel grief, because when he delivered the movie months ago for submission to Sundance he also dropped off some baked goods for the staff. I told Manuel that his baked good gave everyone diariah and that’s only reason the film didn’t get in. And the fact that Jesus hates him…very much.
And the reason we didn’t get into to Slamdance? The folks at Sundance shared the cookies with the folks at Slamdance and Jesus just happened to be hanging out watching Lesbian themed films that day.
By not getting into the festivals at Park City, it really only hurts me in one bad way.
I have to eat my own words that I said months ago to Charles Ryan from Wizards of the Coast, the people who own Dungeons and Dragons. I was so pissed in July when they wouldn’t support the movie and then took like a month and a half to get back to us that I told Charles in an email “I’ll call you from Utah in January, when the movie does well at the festival!”
I’m going to have to call him up and tell him we changed the title of the film to
"All Aboard! Rosie's Family Cruise," and we made the movie into a documentary film, and we changed the film’s storyline about a group of gamers to a story about “Rosie and Kellie O'Donnell who create a floating utopia for 500 gay and lesbian families.”
By, the way that movie really did get into Sundance this year and I do recall that I made fun of Rosie O’Donnell’s blog once, so look at Karma kicking my ass huh?
Hello, my name is Earl Folino and I’ve talked so much crap in my blog, that Karma is now punishing my movie from getting into any film festival.
I do want to say thanks and share some really nice emails from folks who responded to the news that we didn’t get into either Park City Film Festival.
I thought this was really cool from Chuck in Austin, Texas. I just met Chuck via email recently and it’s nice too know that if we get into the “South by Southwest” film festival we can all stay at Chuck’s house! I’m joking…can we please Chuck? Odds are good, we won’t even be coming if they program their movies like Sundance!
“Sorry to hear about the film festivals. In a small effort to start something that may perk up your spirits, I started a Frappr map for Gamers The Movie Fans. There are still lots of people out here that want to see the movie.
Thanks for the work and hope to see your movie soon”
Chuck
Grogtard
It’s a map of the world and right now it has two names of people who support the film, Chuck and me!
I did also enjoy the email from my brother Steven!
I didn’t publish the entire email, because, those parts didn’t have cursing!
“Take your movie to the people! Or in your case YOUR
people! Anybody who has EVER played DnD would Fucking
LOVE this movie. I totally agree with the warcry dude,
it will be a cult classic that outshines fucking
clerks by a long shot! Fuck, my guess is you stick
with the soundtrack and it fucking becomes "The Big
Chill" for OUR fucked up generation!”
“Lastly, Stick to your fucking guns man, take NO
bullshit, and don't FUCKING settle!! You know GOOD!
And this FUCKING movie is GREAT! I have not laughed
out loud at ANY fucking movie like yours since the
time we fucking saw Austin Powers II together...God I
love fucking midgets humping lasers!”
”2nd to Worse case scenario: Your family comes and
lives with my family and we shoot action-adventure,
musical, comedies in our back yard! “
Fuck yeah!
Love,
Steven
I love my older brother and I’m fond of the way this school teacher uses the word “Fuck” in a complete sentence! See Kids learning is fun!
And to jump to another academic scholar, I did get a nice email from Merritt Hemenway, my former high school principal who stated.
“You know "Gamers" is a very good and very funny movie. Soon enough you will
find the venue that accepts it and the others will lie in the dust wondering
if only... as you move forward. Have faith. You have done great work with
great passion. That always wins in the end!”
Enough about Park City! We have entered some other festivals and we will find out soon enough!
We have a lot to be thankful for! How many filmmakers get “Twins” delivered on the first day of shooting their movie?
By the way, my youngest son, looks like “Stewie” from “The Family Guy”
I’m very excited about dressing him up like “Stewie” and sending out threatening Christmas card this year!

Reaction from Actor and Voice God Michael Bell that the movie was rejected by all the Park City Film Festivals
"NO PARK CITY FESTIVALS? SHIT! YOU MEAN I WASTED ALL THIS CHARM ON A LOSER? ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT I BOUGHT THAT DOUBLE BREASTED BLUE PIN STRIPE SUIT THAT FRED ASTAIRE WORE IN EVERY PICTURE AND SMELLS LIKE IT, FOR MY DEBUT AT SUNDANCE FOR $3000 FROM A REALLY GAY WARDROBE MASTER WHO TRIED TO EAT MY RIGHT FOOT..SOCK AND ALL..FOR NOTHING?
I COULD HAVE BEEN SOMEBODY..BUT NOOOOOOO, I HAD TO PUT ALL MY EGGS IN ONE BASTARD.
MAYBE IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO CALL PAULIE SHORE.
WELL, IF SANTA BARBARA PANS OUT.. I MAY MAKE AN APPEARANCE..HOWEVER, I DRAW THE LINE AT THE OLVERA STREET PINATA FESTIVAL. MORE CHILDREN ARE KILLED BY FALLING CANDY THEN ARE MURDERED BY THEIR PARENTS."

The waiting is the hardest part by Chris Folino
According to indiewire.com
"Sundance Film Festival organizers will unveil the feature film lineup for the 2006 event early this week. Planners intend to reveal the American and World Competition films on Tuesday, November 29th at 12:00 a.m., followed by the announcement of the Spectrum, Frontier and Park City at Midnight lineups on Wednesday, November 30th at 12:00 a.m.. On Thursday, December 1st at 12:00 a.m., the Premiere's Feature Film list is scheduled to be unveiled."
Rumor has it also they may call or email all participants today.
We did the best movie we could and we took a shot. After attempting and dreaming of doing a film on 35mm for twenty years, I never thought our first film would have such a kick-ass cast and crew!
Let's talk about something else, we got some love from the greatest gaming system ever!
We made it in the November newsletter from Intellivision Productions!
GAMERS (INDEPENDENT)
"Four high-school geeks obsessed with a role-playing game continue their obsession after graduation. 23 years later, they are about to break the record for total hours spent playing the game. Gamers is a comedy shot documentary-style following these now middle-aged geeks on the day they are to set the new record.
One of the main characters, Gordon, played by Kevin Kirkpatrick, appears for a substantial amount of the movie wearing Intellivision t-shirts. And you can get shirts just like them on our website! Don't worry, you don't have to be a geek to wear one (but it helps).
Directed by Intellivision-fan Christopher Folino, Gamers is an independent film headed for the festival circuit and, with luck, a general release."

I ain't gonna lie. I couldn't sleep last night, so I watched two movies that featured Scott Allen Rinker.
"Shoot or be shot" which I'm half way through and I'm enjoying it! It also stars William Shatner and its cool seeing Scott. He did a great job!
And I got to see "Code Hunter" with the three coolest guys in the world.
Tone Loc, Coolio, and Scott Allen Rinker! Man, the stories from that set! I think that was when Scott Allen Rinker swore his allegiance to West Coast Rap!
I'm going to go stare at my phone.
Thanks for all the good thoughts today. Regardless of what happens we will post it.
