State of things by Christopher Folino
My daughter was watching Nickelodeon the other morning and this dramatic TV commercial came on about borrowing money and it showed this woman using the money to help become a medical assistant. I was searching for the Tivo, because, I hate that crap and I was like “I know that voice!”
And that woman was none other than Niko Posey who plays Stephanie in our movie! She looks fantastic and I called her that day to congratulate her.
She told me Tony Kaye, the director of “American History X” made those TV spot.
I guess it was only destiny that after Niko appeared in “Gamers” and made the “Wizard robe” that she would work with Tony Kaye!
I always wanted to direct a TV spot for “Chuck Wagon” dog food and have this old mangy dog catch the chuck wagon and not only tear it apart but to start to dry hump it also. And I’d have the sound effects of the horse and the cowboy screaming in terror and I’d show the blood spurts.
Joe Nieves may be a regular on “Day Break” which will be a replacement show by ABC.
So what will Joe do? Will Joe stay on with “How I met your mother” or go do “Day Break”
I think Joe should do a special blog right here on “Gamers” and we can all help him vote.
What do you say Mr. Nieves?
Meredith Zealy will be the face for the second largest video game company in the world as she does live interviews from E3 for three days starting May 9th-May12th
More details to come on that story and Meredith is also up for a pretty cool movie role.
Scott Allen Rinker lost out to Rosie O’Donnell as the replacement for Meredith Vieira.
Apparently, the producers felt that Scott was less manly than Rosie. Scott dug his own grave, when he admitted to loving the show “American Idol” and spending an entire hour hours talking about it and calling Barbara Walters a “Fat Cow” when she tried to change the subject matter.
Dave Hanson, Kevin Sherwood, and Kevin Kirkpatrick were recently spotted at an audition for the all Spanish “New Menudo” band. Hell, I guess if Jack Black came play Hispanic, so can those white-outs!
And what awesome gig have I gotten since directing “Gamers?” I’m on a short list to shot a co-workers best friend’s cousin’s wedding video!
So keep your fingers crossed! This could be my big break!

Random Thoughts of thoughtlessness by Christopher Folino
Recently, my daughter and her classmates were asked who their favorite actors were? While her other classmates responded with bullshit answers like "Raven" and "Hilary Duff" My daughter who is five, responded "Dave Hanson and Scott Allen Rinker!"
And she was dead serious, I think she wants to rep them.
Could you imagine a phone call from a five year old rep? It might work, Hanson and Rinker would be booked for a lot of work on Strawberry Shortcake, Scooby Doo, and the Exorcist movies.
The quest for a rep continues, just when it appear you have a fair and honest offer you learn that the rep you want to sign with is taking less because they pass the movie off to another rep, who then sells the movie to a distributor who has a deal with another distributor. So that's four companies touching the money and when it's all said and done the filmmaker is left with nada.
And I thought cars salesmen, lawyers and film festival directors were bottom feeders.
Harry Knowles continues to not watch our film, it appears he's moved out his parents home and in with his girlfriend and her name is Yoko.
You would think everyone in Japan would stop naming their daughters Yoko? Serious, I haven't met anyone named Judas have you?
Lastly, my brother Michael and his family are moving to Chicago this week.
Here is a list of things I'd like them to do for me in Chicago.
1. Find the Blues Brother responsible for the sequel and kick him in the nuts for me.
2. See if Oprah will let "Gamers" be on her first "Movie of the month"
It's exactly like the Color Purple but without that hack director!
3. Get Roger Ebert a copy of "Gamers" and then ask him if Siskel was alive today does he think he could kick Roeper's ass?
4. Bring me back a Gino's East franchise.

The state of the world of "Gamers" by Christopher Folino
Doors open, doors close, film festivals pucker up tight and we continue this magical journey of discovery and attempting to get the movie out to the masses.
Well, good news is that we are one step closer to signing with a film rep, this is a person or people who go champion your movie to studio contacts who common folks with names like Folino can't get too.
After being attempted to be "ass raped" by various film reps we think we found one that may be the "Saturn" car dealership of film reps. They may not want to fuck you because they want you to return with other movie ideas.
Our plan is to give the rep three months to find a home, while we prepare the film for self-distribution, so at the end of three months we have a plan of attack.
So my best bet would place a release date of August 2006 for Gamers. This will give us time to get the lead guys together to do some commentary and some interviews to be included in the DVD.
God knows we have a lot of material and scenes we can add for bonus features.
LAstly, we can't thank the folks who have helped spread the word about "Gamers"and if you can kindly draw some more attention to the film in the next few weeks that would be awesome!
It will help with attracting a larger film company to perhaps pick the movie up.
