The Golden Globes
Hello everyone. This is Joe Nieves, and I will be attempting to write blogs. I get an easy subject tonight as the Golden Globes were on this evening. Sadly, Gamers was not nominated for anything. But since we weren't released anywhere yet we will be able to be nominated next year. I ask you to consider my performance as "Fernando" for best supporting actor in a comedy or musical. About that category- That is the most ridiculous category ever. I would have loved to see films like "The 40 Year Old Virgin" and "Wedding Crashers" as they are indeed comedies in every sense of the word and these hilarious films and outstanding comedic performances will never be recognized by the so-called comedy category. What are films like "The Squid and the Whale", "Walk the Line", and "The Family Stone" doing here? Walk the Line is NOT a musical. It has music IN IT but it is not a musical. The Producers is a musical, Chorus Line is a musical, Chicago-musical. Not Ray, not Walk the Line. The Squid and the Whale is not a comedy, Family Stone is the furthest thing from a comedy- There is someone dying of cancer in that movie- NOT VERY FUNNY. Caddyshack, Fletch, The Jerk, Gamers- these are comedies. Please someone fix this category.
On to my next piece of business- Brokeback fucking Mountain! That's right I saw it. AND I liked it a lot. I'm 6'3 200lbs, Puerto Rican-Italian from Brooklyn and I LOOOOOVVVVVEEEEDDDD Brokeback Mountain, so stick that up your ass and chew on it. It was actually really awkward and kind of painful when the movie started but as it went on for a little while I loosened up a lot and began to enjoy it. There was a little blood when it was finished but I really enjoyed it (Okay that was a vulgar joke but I'm just trying to keep up with my blog predecessors here). As far as Ledger not winning the award I would have to agree with that as even though all of the performances in the film were spectacular, I don't feel as though he carried the full load of the film whereas Hoffman was without a doubt the lead in Capote and a fantastic one at that. By the way both Anne Hathaway and Michelle Williams show there boobs in this film so take that you homophobic straight guys who didn't see the film. You missed lovely wonderful boobies.
Felicity Huffman had to win because she played a man (obvious Gold Globe/Oscar role). It's like playing a mentally challenged person, holocaust victim, wrongly imprisoned person, or a drug addict. Witherspoon and Phoenix were the obvious choices because it's chic to play a former drug addict, dead, famous musician and his significant other. Rachel Weisz- who knows. I didn't even know there was a movie named "The Constant Gardner". Clooney won because he's the coolest man in the world. Memoirs of a Geisha won the all important original score globe because John Williams did it and he always wins. I am very happy that Hugh Laurie of "House" won because he is a fucking unbelievable actor and in my opinion the best on TV. I'm thrilled that the one non-desperate housewife, Mary Louise Parker won the TV actress comedy thing because I can't stand the Housewife show (See, I can still be a guy even though I saw Brokeback). Piven should have won but I guess you can never be mad when Newman wins because he was the coolest guy in the world way befor Clooney ever was.
Okay, that's all for now. Hopefully this wasn't a terrible blog. Maybe I'll be allowed to write more tomorrow. Untill then- Seacrest Out.

"Blogging it" by Christopher Folino
So, the IPODCAST is up and you can click here to listen to it www.intheq.com.au

So what have we learned about the movie "Gamers?" from the podcast?

First, I rose to the occasion and choked with grace, and was able to plug that the "Star Wars Holiday Special" which is ranked 4,165 which is still higher than "Gamers" at 5,438 on IMDB.
I think everyone should see the classic show, so they can understand why the new "Star Wars Movies" sucked so bad!

Second, Beverly D'Angelo doesn't remember that I directed her, that's how good of job I did! Who cares! I love the woman!

Third, there is no third.

I saw the famous Joe Nieves today, and he's kindly agreed to do some "Guest Blogs" this week!
Joe plays "Carl the bartender" on the hit CBS show "How, I met your mother" and he plays "Fernando" in "Gamers!"
Looking forward to hearing him explain why he saw "Brokeback Mountain" with his brother this holiday season. Don't most brothers want to see anything but a "Chick Flick?"
If I went to go see a movie with my brother, for "fuck sake", it wouldn't be to see "Brokeback Mountain"

Do you think since we made him "Hand-love" that horse in our movie, his mind got all fucked-up?

Serious, Joe's first role in this town was on "Women: Stories of Passion" where he played the Gigolo!
And look how he's fallen? Covered in "Horse Love!" in our film and now he's serving drinks to "Doogie Howser" on that CBS show where they have him dressed like a "Cowboy" on the Halloween show!

In other news, we are close!
We got the new scenes all worked out and we got a new web site coming very soon!

That's all the time I got tonight.

Good Sunday Afternoon by Christopher Folino
Happy Sunday,

The ipodcast interview from down under are up on the web and you can listen or download the interviews about the making of the movie “GAMERS” at www.intheq.com.au

It features interviews with Beverly D’Angelo, Kelly LeBrock, Michael Bell, and myself.

Special thanks to Michael Smith for giving us two episodes dedicated to “Gamers.”
It was a joy to talk with both he and Barry and it was generous of them to give us that much time on the show.

There are moments in your life when you’re given an opportunity to shine, moments that will define you. However, I proudly continue my tradition of choking and cursing!

Give it a listen! It’s cool to hear the folks being interviewed and you will hear new clips.
Michael Bell of course steals the show and Kelly and Beverly are always a blast to hear no matter what!

What else is new, sadly, “Gamers” dropped down on the IMDB MOVIEmeter by 357 movie points!
We are now ranked 5438, down from 5,081 last week. I noticed the IMDB MOVIEmeter includes video games now.

Man, do you know the shame of having that the 1984 classic “Police Academy: Mission to Moscow” ranked 4256! I don’t even know what number that sequel is, however, it’s kicking our ass!

Two other movies that I think suck; however, in the world of IMDB they are what the kid’s crave!
“Surviving Christmas” is ranked 2529 and “Saved by the Bell: The New Class” is 3505

Thank God we are holding off classics like “Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter” ranked 5442 and “Sgt. Bilko” ranked at 5461.

Tagline from “Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter: The Power of Christ impales you!
I may have to buy this movie!

Monday, begins the overhaul to the web site and the online marketing focus.
I can’t stress enough how much I hate any bastard who posts porn and other bullshit posting.

Our webmasters and executive producer Fernando Velloso has been in Argentina for the last six weeks and the phone company went on strike and he was unable to get Internet hook-up. So basically, other than the blog, we haven’t been able to update a thing on our web site. That all ends tomorrow!
