03/09/2006: "Friday Blog by Christopher Folino"

We are twelve days away from the world premiere of “Gamers”
This weekend I’ll review the film for a last time and send off final audio notes.
The tweaking is minor, however, we got one shot at this, so I’d like it to be as perfect as we can make it.

And I’m proud to report that we have several major distributors who will be attending the screening on March 21st. I’m talking Academy Award nominated distributors and winners. It’s frickin cool man!
God knows how long they will stay, but at least something got their attention. I’m hoping it wasn’t the free popcorn and ten minute kissing booth with Dave Hanson.

Speaking of Dave, thank you for the lovely email yesterday. Here our some highlights from his fine email.

“Funny man. Real funny. I mean the video link, not your blog.”
And
”Hey did you know (any maybe you did know and its just not that funny and that’s why you haven't said anything) that I make a donkey show reference in the film? Its when I'm under the table talking about the trip to Mexico.”

Yeah, I kind made that reference in honor of you buddy since basically only you, my dad and my former high school principal read this blog and here’s a new video link. Since
Spring training is back, here’s proof that steroids can really hurt. This video is titled when Doves Cry

Next week will be spent showing the producers my suggested cut and getting their blessing. It’s been since So Cal Gen Con that we have all sat and watched the movie together in its entirety. So much has changed, Dave Hanson has been completely edited out of the movie, Scott Allen Rinker’s mother paid us cash to add new scenes with him, Kevin Kirkpatrick has been digitally replaced with Abe Vigoda and Joe Nieves voice has been replaced by Pauly Shore. We also added 13 new scenes, re-worked scenes and changed placement.
