03/06/2006: "Hype & Buzz for "Gamers" by Christopher Folino"

The game is on to generate hype and buzz for “Gamers”.Help us in our grass roots marketing plan to get the press and distributors aware of “Gamers”.

If you don’t know anybody that’s cool, you can help us by visiting www.imdb.com and posting support for “Gamers 2006” on the message board or any other places on the web.

If you got friends who write movie reviews or if you have your own My Space account, contact us about getting exclusive movie clips and interviews with the actors, we have until March 21st the day of the world premiere of the film in Beverly Hills, CA where we will screen the film at the Fine Arts Theatre at 7:30PM to do everything we can to give the movie one hell of a shot.

Please note for all distributors, we won’t be sending any screener copies out until after the premiere. We want to reward the companies who’ll make an effort to show up the screening first. We plan on having all 400 seats occupied by folks who have never seen the movie and who aren’t related to me.
Hell, we want distributors to get a clear idea of what this movie will do.
We know it’s main audience will be males between 17 and 40.
Can it make money? Over 20 million people plays Dungeons and Dragons and the Pen and Paper role playing games alone last year generated a billion dollars in business and RTS video games that were influenced by Dungeons and Dragons, such as “World of Warcraft” and “Everquest” those players will relate to this movie and the family members or loved ones that are orphaned by these “gamers.” The video game industry makes more money than the film industry and it’s closing in on the music industry.

Even if you’re not a “Gamer” you’ll relate to this film, it’s a comedy that focuses on characters.

Check out the media clips we posted then prepare your self for 87 minutes of that brand of comedy. This movie has been re-worked, new scenes added, and we didn’t hold back.

This in a comedy movie shot on 35MM with real SAG actors like Kelly LeBrock, Beverly D’Angelo, John Heard, William Katt and Michael Bell. And you’ll be introduced the next wave of talent comedians who will grace your TV and cinemas.

This movie was self financed with a bank loan and credit cards and made by folks who hold day jobs.

If your tired of studio crap movies like remakes of "The Pink Panther" and another "Big Mamma's House" and want something original, then "Gamers" is for you.
