10/29/2005: "Review of the film from Actress Beverly D'Angelo -by Chris Folino"

Who needs a film festival when you get a nice review from actress Beverly D'Angelo.

Okay, I'll still take Beverly's awesome review and the film festivals.

"IT’S FANTASTIC IT’S GREAT ITS GOTTA GET INTO THE FESTIVALS FOR SURE ITS GOTTA GET RELEASED_ DONT YOU THINK SOME WILL??? It’s beyond my wildest imagination. This is so strange. Just from that one exterior scene and I might have said this to your brother and the pro partner who drove me home, it had that kinship feeling to Napoleon Dynamite. Like it occupied this fringe land that really existed but didn’t at the same time.
I mean, I am totally willing to buy into a subculture of Demons, Nymphs and Dungeons .
The visuals were out of this world.
The way you made this film is worth publicizing too and if I knew more about that I would certainly be glad to fill in that part in any interviews I could do, OR we could go a whole other way and keep building up on a parallel universes that it really IS a documentary.
Spinal Tap took it really far and did concerts to promote their film, you know.
I am not saying I would say that John and I should say that Gordon is our son in real life, but you know, just some grist for the mill.
I loved it, really loved it."

Well done!!!!!!!"

It's amazing that I still have to work a day job isn't it? That's a joke for anybody at work reading this blog. I still need my job, a film festival would be nice too.

Also, big news here. Today is Dave Hanson's last blog, if Dave ever wants to log in and write something he's always invited.
And starting Sunday our guest blog writer for the week will be Scott Allen Rinker.
Scott played Paul in the movie and is one of the finest young actors in the business.

And last but never least. I'd like to give a shout to Robert Watson. Robert goes to Newbury High School and may be the greatest World of Warcraft player in California. That's right, California and I would bet Oregon and Arizona also! (Rob, you should try Dawn of War and Winter Assault also)
Thanks Robert for allowing us to film the little person, Dave Hanson, and Kelly LeBrock scene in his bedroom and for reading the blog on a regular basis. I can now say we have four people who read this blog.

Peace and acceptance from all film festivals,

Chris Folino
