10/19/2005: "A Blog to Roger Ebert"

It was funny today, thanks to Shannon and the www.warcry.com article we got a lot of calls from distributors.
We still aren't sending any copies out for them to view alone. I like getting rejected face-to-face. It builds character. I want the Lions Gate guy to tell me it's not funny in a "Waiting" the movie way or even a "Saw II" way!
I never liked the girl who dumped your ass via a pager or on the phone.

Seriously, I think the only person I would send a copy of the film is to Roger Ebert. Not the other guy he does the show with now. I would have sent one to his original partner, Gene Siskel. Gene was super cool.

But not the younger guy, I just can't! I'm old school. When they brought the new guy Richard Roeper on that's like when the genius who created the Pink Panther cartoon brought it back and decided to make the Pink Panther talk. That was so fucked up. No knock on Roeper, it's just that Siskel was like the original Pink Panther and then he got replaced with a wise ass talking Pink Panther. Oh, the scars of my childhood memory.
I won't even begin to tell the story of when those ass monkeys brought Speed Racer back.

So if Roger would review the film and if he hates it I will never make another movie again and I will wash your car! And to make the pot even better, I'll even call John Singleton and ask him to please stop making action movies. That's pretty fair right?

Funny huh? It's like screw getting a movie deal! I want Roger to review the film first!

Come on Roger, email me.
I will bring the "In and Out" burgers and you bring "Gino's East" Pizza!
Sounds like fun? Did I mention we got Kelly LeBrock and Beverly D'Angelo in the movie? And if you like them young we have Meredith Zealy, Yvonne and Niko Posey! Come on Roger?

It's only 84 minutes of your life. And from this day forward only Roger and Shannon from www.warcry.com will ever get a screener copy of anything I get to do.
Again, Viva La Warcry!

Thanks,
Chris
