10/17/2005: "What's new"

We will be posting some new interviews this week. We got William Katt, Kevin Kirkpatrick, Roberto Blasini and a lot more.

It was cool having the folks from www.warcry.com come out for the cast party and I think they may talk a little bit about the film which is really nice of them.

Speaking of the film, it gets entered into Slamdance today and I plan on just shelving the project for a week and then looking at it again.

Hell, when we submitted to Sundance I cut three minutes off the film, and ended up putting it back in for the Slamdance cut. But, that's the great part of being the writer/director and an editor. I think the writer always wins at the end. It's all about the story.

From the cast screening on Saturday, I really want to shoot a new scene or three. Add some more stuff with the Reese character and a scene with Johnny.

I figure I'm going to hell already with this movie, so what if we add a scene with some more old people getting attacked. It's comedy baby.

I read today that the movie "Strangers with Candy" isn't going to be released because of problems with clearance to use posters from the eighties. Christ am I glad we got permission from everyone. White Snake, Night Ranger, The Scorpions, and the Predator movie.

My favorite corporation that gave us permission to use their product was Intellivision.
This was my childhood growing up, I had to sell my Star Wars Figures and my Atari to buy an Intellivision. Oh my God, still to this day I can play Intellivision Baseball by myself with two hands.
I don't think I ever lost at that game. Keith Robinson from Intellivision Lives came down to the screening and he's a cool dude. I'm proud that the main character wears the Intellivision shirts in most of the film.He liked the movie, which was cool. The Intellivision is so great, I have the original system hooked to my HDTV.

I'd give up my XBOX, PS2, and all PSP before my Intellivision. Funny how games have come so far with graphics and the fun factor from Intellivision Baseball still kicks ass!

Again thanks to all our families, friends, and new friends for coming to the cast party. We really appreciate the time you took to see the movie.
