10/13/2005: "Update on the film"

Even after spending 200 hours on the film, we are tweaking it some more for the cast/crew party on Saturday.
This will be the cut we send off to Slamdance. It's better than the one we sent to Sundance.
It's longer and we have corrected a lot of audio issues and added some new Maya Animation.

I wonder how the viewing of Gamers is going at Sundance?
I'd love to know which film student first got to screen the movie.
You worry that it will be screened by a film student who only wears black and loves French art films.
We do have a French Clown in the film, however, he's a bit unmanly. That might hurt.

I would hope my last name Folino would confuse them to think of Fellini.
And then there's no way they couldn't pass the film off to the second round of screeners.

Hell, I'm banking on the Fellini connection to get us into the festival. I tell everyone it's the U.S. translation.

Speaking of Italian, when I went to visit New York for a Home Depot shoot back in the day.
I met some real Italians, so Italian that afterwards I tell people I'm the Olive Garden of Italian.
Those fuckers in NY, that's Italian.
